Sorry Scribble 37
Reading takes away as much as it gives. It tramples upon a mind that's filled with ideas of the contract of reading brings in ones that overlap with ideas already present in the mind. It rewires sacred lines of thinking before they are recorded and can bury ideas so deeply that they're lost to you forever. Or it can alter what you'd originally thought of - or worse, slap another's name onto an idea you'd come up with - albeit one that existed already in literature, and puts you in a position where you must quote the one who claimed its ownership before you by publishing it, just so that your statement received objective validity.
Reading is as destructive as it is creative.
